Anyone seeing more strikes with the arca mounts for the magnetospeed.

Used this thing a lot with no issue.
Now broke. Must have been first shot with grey ops mount

Would rather not spend $170 on another bayonet

maybe just add another spacers and double check clearances and make sure it's tightened down properly so it does not shift while shooting . have to admit that's an oddly strange angled trail (mark) to see from a bullet that should be straight .

Think I figured it out. Possibly.

The mount holes were bent from running the strap on it down real tight and probably caused the mis alignment. You can see the bend and gap above the red grey ops mount above

Mine is like that too, but worse. If the electrical connections are in tact, I wouldn't think that's it. Do you set the black box on the table or does it attach to the mount in some way? I assume you tried both plug in spots and both cables already. When I opened up the back box I knew immediately what the issue was on mine. I can't remember if that was the trouble code it gave me but I think it was.

Their customer service was really legit and they took care of me, I literally sent a screen shot from where I bought it off a guy on here and they sent me a new one.

Mine says sensor 2 error. I already bought and received a new bayonet but I will try finding the other hole. I put the black box on the ground.

Hello. Thank you for the pictures. That scratch is a bullet strike. We cannot repair the bayonet if a bullet has impacted the sensor deck. The impact occurred over sensor 2. The bayonet can continue to appear to work, but inaccurate readings, error messages, and eventually complete failure of the bayonet can/will occur. The sheath covering the rear jack port comes loose if there is no strap; that is normal. You will need to purchase a replacement bayonet: https://magnetospeed.com/products/v3-replacement-bayonet If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan Hey

Not sure which ARCA mount you are using but with the Wiser there is an adjustment to level the bayonet. Two hand screws you can loosen or tighten to make sure the bayonet is level with the muzzle. You can see it when looking from the side with the spacer on the bayonet. I always take a look down the barrel to make sure I can't see the bayonet and it's out of the line of fire.

I just bought this mounting adapter. It will be here on Monday. Is it easy to do the MOD and install.
