Re: Maiden Voyage on my new Osprey

Apologies if you cover this in the video, I can see a 1911 but can't play the vid on my phone.

Is your barrel aftermarket? If yes, was it an easy dropin? Or did it have to be fitted?

Just got an osprey45 myself. Running it on an fnp tac and an m&p. Wondering about mounting it on a kimber.

I should be close to getting my osprey .45. I plan to run it o. My Springfield 1911 operator. I got a drop in threaded barrel from storm lake. It did drop in. It locks up nice and tight but cycles smooth still. It's been 100% reliable so far. No can on it yet though

It's a storm lake drop in barrel, and it was quite easy to install. No fitment work needed.

I bought and installed a Storm Lake drop in into my 1911 for my Osprey and it worked great. I bought it complete with link, pin, bushing, and thread protector.

I picked up extra pistons so I can shoot it on a 9mm and 40.

Re: Maiden Voyage on my new Osprey

You guys running the 45 Osprey's, make sure your piston is the new one. They had a run of bad pistons about the time that they stopped offering the matching FDE can for the FNH 45 Tactical. If the piston is out of spec you will get baffle strikes. Silencer CO will replace the piston for free if you send it in.

Check with them first.
