This is going to be interesting to see.
The house can do anything they want, but it has to get through the senate and the president both solidly Republican.
So... we are about to see exactly how in on the whole tyranny the Republicans are this time around.

Mistake no. 1: our current President is not solidly Republican. His solidity in anything is a matter of his populist responses to twitches in wind speed and direction.
All this boils down to money in the politicians hands. Show me a politician who hasn’t increased their net worth via legislation and I’ll show you an honest politician.
But it could be a way for the left to tip their hand for what the next step toward their ultimate goal is. I doubt they'll push too hard without a damn good idea what they try will succeed.
