Hey guys, I’m doing a new build 6.5 creedmoor (because I reload and love the cartridge) for hunting and prs but more prs mainly because I have hunting rifles already and looking to get a true tac driver. This is the build so far but need help with the options on the manner mostly like what flush cups, bottom metal and best pads. Not really on a budget as I can wait for products as long as needed.
Manner-prs1-
Barrel- proof cf 26”
Action- impact or big horn (please help!)
Is impact truly worth 600 bucks more?
Trigger- TriggerTech (open to others but I like them)
Scope- razor gen ii 4.5-27

If you do the mini-chassis, no need for bottom metal. I did 2 flush cups on the left side (right handed shooter) and an atlas rail up front.

Since you are wanting it for PRS, is there a need for the CF barrel? A lot of folks like to have the added weight of steel. Another upside to steel is the cost to replace is much cheaper.

Just weight savings and own two others that have been awesome. But might go steel just to try and see if I like it. Did you do the non rotating flush cups? Confused on what those are. Def doing the atlas up front on mine. Def will have to do the mini then

I ordered a Manners T5A awhile back inletted for a Surgeon 591. It took close to 6 months to arrive just so you're aware of the wait.

I went 2 flush cups left side because I'm a Right handed shooter. I should have gotten the non rotating ones though. The difference is that when a sling is attached, the QD can rotate and twist the sling up. Hence the reason I should have gone non-rotating. I'm bored of untwisting my sling.

I think they only had the Gen 1 mini chassis when I ordered so I decided to have mine inletted for Surgeon Bottom metal and had my gunsmith install and bed everything. Glad I did it this way.

If this is a comp gun, go with a steel barrel. Mine has a Hardy Carbon barrel on it, and while it shoots great, it's expensive to shoot out at comps and a little extra weight is nice. I think all in, my gun weighs 13 pounds (scope, bipod, loaded).

I don't have experience with those actions, but I have been eyeing an Impact in a PRS 1 as well with a 24" steel barrel.

Feel free to PM me any questions about my build because it sounds like you want something similar to what I built.

I am also looking for my second Manner PRS stock. It works great. But here are serval my opinion.

Manner stock is good, but if we use it in PRS game. ACRA rail is popular, the solution now is getting an Area 419 rail cost 200+ dollar. Or another advice is MPA chassis. If you do not like chassis style. Foundation stock provides a lot of add on can put different rail at the bottom of the stock, and Foundation Stock have a perfect inlet for different. Not just say Rem 700 clone. (I owned a Magpul Pro 700, not perfectly fit my Bighorn action.)

Secondly, if you want to choose impact or bighorn for PRS, I will recommend Impact. Although I am a bighorn TL3 user. Because impact action uses m16 ejector, it will throw the fired brass further and will not bother your next shot. Bighorn is good, but sometime if you pull the bolt really slow. The brass will not eject.

And then, if you use mainly for PRS match. A heavy barrel will better for balance. You do not need to move rifle a lot in PRS. Heavier barrel will have better balance. What pro use show the same result. Most people choose M24 MTU Heavy Palama and even Heavy Varmint.
