Manners T2 vs McMillan A5 in the grip?

I put a McMillan A5 on the girlfriends rifle and she loves it, Now Iam in the market for a new stock and while the A-5 is a very nice stock it just doesn't feel quite right in the grip area for my hand. Can anybody that has run both stocks comment on the differences between the two stocks in the grip area? are they the same?

Also should I shell out the extra for the T2A model or will I be able to get a good cheek weld with a 50mm scope mounted on the rifle?

Thanks

Jason

My personal experience is that that Manners had a bigger palm swell to it. I've since switched to thumbhole style stocks but still have an A5. I would get the adjustable.

Either get the adjustable or get a stock pack from Traid and build it up underneath with mousepads to get the right hight. My first Manners stock is the non adjustable, but the one I have on order is adjustable.

I don't have much problem getting a good cheek weld on my T2 with EGW 25MOA base, Burris 30mm XTR low rings and Bushnell 6-24x50 scope...but I am planning on a stock pack to give me a *little* more elevation.

Maybe something you haven't thought of, if you'd like to stay with mcmillan try an a4. The grip on it is slightly thicker and they've made some upgrades to the saddle cheek piece recently. We ran S&B 3-12x50mm on the M40A3's we ran so you'll be fine with a 50mm obj lens. It might be worth a look for you.
