Does anyone have one of these. I saw one in a gun store near by and I am leaning towards taking one home. I have a SS sparrow that I am sure would pair up well with it. How do they shoot?

I have never owned a savage but the people that own them seem to love them.

I am thinking this could be a squirrels worst nightmare.

Thanks for the thoughts...

I like mine. It sports a 3-10 Weaver Tactical and shoots cloverleaves at 50Y with Wolf MT all day long. I wish the 100y groups were a little better but that's a limitation with all .22's. You might consider the Boyds Tacticool stock or something similar as the factory stock is a kind of small. I epoxied some bolts and added a sizeable extension to the but to make mine more adult sized but the grip is still smaller than I'd like. All in all its a great rifle if you're looking for a bolt gun to screw your can on.

I had a TR and decided it was easier to pick one of these up and swap it into that stock to get the short threaded barrel. I've installed pillars and lightly bedded it and finally got it out today with the SS16x on top. I was shooting steel only so no measured groups but hit the steel at 215yds on every shot and was successful in hitting the steel head target at 465yds on the third shot. It was beyond the range of the scope so I shot the first two to see where I need to hold. Overall very impressed. This was all with inexpensive Winchester ammunition from the silver boxes.

My brother just picked one up. I liked it, but havent gotten to shoot it yet. With the outback on it it was still shorter than my mark 2 without the can lol.

The larger bolt knob is a nice touch for sure.
