"Chacon said he could not say there’s not a danger to the public since the suspect’s not in custody. However, he said the shooting appears to be isolated just to this area in downtown."

OK, so we've established that the guy can't instantly travel across space and time.

    Awesome police work.

Before that, 6th St. was notoriously rough and seedy, a place you didn't go unless you knew how to fight and use a knife and gun.

No proper girl or woman would ever be associated with 6th. St. and to say so was implying she was a whore.

The toughest went to 6th. St. to drink, gamble, chase whores and cut and beat the fuck out of each other to prove they were the toughest. I knew some battle scarred old patrons of 6th. St. growing up and have listened to their stories and have seen their scars.
This is NOT the 6th street that I remember from the 2000-2006 time frame. Sorority girls and frat boys packed in from 4th street to 8th street. I'd describe it as 'gentrified.' Good place to get drunk. Never even saw a fight. Now, Dallas Night Club, that was a place to get thrown out of before the fights started. "Dallas" was also where you went to get your 'wife for the night.' She wasn't your wife, but she was someone's wife...

The new 'gentrified' 6th St. is what I remember as well as an adult. However, I also recall the old 6th. St. and Red River area as a child and riding in the car to the main post office, my mom always telling us kids to lock our doors.

Grown, a few others and myself rode our Harleys down there most every weekend and parked in the line of other bikes in front of the Black Cat Saloon.

I was sitting on my Harley looking cool one night and someone next to me said "Hey Dennis, where's your bike?" and there was Dennis Rodman standing behind me checking out our rides.

My favorite part of this whole shitshow is the woke popo refusing to release descriptions of the typical violent black thugs who did the deed, cause "dats racis".

Good luck catching them and no chance of a conviction anyway so why bother?

A friend of mine calls the types that get shot a events like this, "voluntary victims."

Go to a place of vice, engage in vices with a group that solves arguments with violence and gunplay? Don't be upset when you're caught up in it.

It's really simple logic. It's so logical that it's the reason most of the rest of America does not care about this type of violence.

My mom subscribed to and read the American Statesman every morning with her coffee because it is Austin's only newspaper. Then she'd call me absolutely livid about some Left leaning propaganda that was written, stating "I'm going to quit taking this tabloid rag."

She was reading it with her coffee when she passed away suddenly in 2011. I'm sure she came across some commie tripe that caused her BP to go off the chart.

They called in the US Marshal’s Bad Guy Retrieval Team today, and reportedly grabbed the suspect, who reportedly had dreadlocks and was (hex color code #000000).

Thank you for not using RGB or CMYK :).

Austin may be the capital but it’s as blue as LA / SF, and disowned by many Texans.

Tents everywhere downtown and in enclaves, people pooping in the street,
and, if you use a gun to defend your family in your own home against the cartel, YOU are going to jail and the grand jury.
Yep. Most Texans are embarrassed about Austin and it's only going to get worse. I had to drive down there a couple weeks ago to meet up with a fellow hide member who I was purchasing something from and it was horrible seeing all the "homeless" encampments everywhere. But I also counted at least 19 or 20 tower cranes scattered around the city. All the influx of Califonicaters and such is driving the growth so the libtard shit is just going to get worse. San Antonio is just as bad and don't even talk to me about Houston. It's been a disaster since Katrina brought all the refugees from NOLA.

Just because certain Texans don't live in Blue shithole cities doesn't give them a pass to not feel ashamed. Some cigar chomping, handmade boot wearing, J.R Ewing type just sold a 180k acre ranch in remote S. Texas to the Communist Chinese.

Enjoy your new plane and Texas Edition F-150 you white trash cocksucker. I hope you choke to death on throat herpes.

The Chinese should not be able to purchase anything in this country.

A strategic plot of land in Texas that is greater in size than the entire city of Tulsa, Okla., is owned by a billionaire Chinese “carpetbagger” with strong ties to the communist Chinese regime.

Sun Guangxin’s 130,000-acre parcel is actually a wind farm, and it is located just a stone’s throw away from the Air Force’s largest pilot training base.

Sun’s Guanghui Energy Co. purchased the wind farm back in 2018 and is now attempting to build some 130 wind turbines on it. These will sit right next to Laughlin Air Force Base, as well as just a few dozen miles from the U.S. – Mexico border.

Cant carry in any establishment that makes more than 50% of their income by selling alcohol.

    Doc

LOL, even Ohio's carry law is better than that.

I can carry in any place that makes 100% of its income from selling alcohol. Just not drink it, which is fine by me.

That's one of the things New Zealand gets right.
You can't buy property there unless you are a citizen (or I think an AUS citizen).

While the ultra rich get around that by forming NZ based corporations to buy the land and then rent it back to them, it at least slows things down and the government kind of keeps their eye on it somewhat.

Australia badly needs to put that in practice hard, but they are almost too far gone.
We need to get it done in America before the next generation is doomed to be renters in their own country.

We should probably start with: no non-citizen can buy property in the USA
No foreign owned or foreign controlled (as in over 51% ownership) corporation can buy property in the USA
If you don't live in the USA full time, you cannot have more than 1 rental property.

HOw about no communist ownership of any US real estate. Rent it at a outrageous price then kick them out.

If you want to avoid these things, avoid “gun free zones” and leftist controlled areas.

I know, if only all the victims were disarmed this never would have happened.

    Seriously? 🤬
The leftist MSM appears to be hell-bent on making themselves totally irrelevant. That's one heck of a business plan. Fortunately, for now at least, people can go to APD's facebook page (of all places) and listen to the chief give a description of the suspect with the details the Austin American-Statesman think are too hot to touch.

Juvenile black male? I thought all mass shooters were angry middle aged white supremacists. 🤷‍♂️ How does this perpetuate stereotypes?

Make that 2 juvenile males. I think the name of one has been released, the other (first arrested) has not been. Second dude was nabbed in summer school yesterday.

    Surprise, surprise...

The original arrested subject's photo has not been published due to age--probably means 15/16 year old.

Definitely doesn’t fit the angry white male/incel stereotype that I’ve been conditioned- through the MSM- to believe is the typical mass shooter. They’ll probably need to reclassify the incident as “accidental discharge during routine maintenance.”

Yeah don't worry--they are already blaming the 'increased access to guns' over the new carry law (they=Austin Mayor, etc.) All is well. Funny enough I had to DIG to get the pic. None of the news stations in Austin had it (I'm in Dallas, so my stations are like 'meh don't care) Locals are usually better than national, but even Fox affiliate was mum. But they did publish a name, and once I got that--I use my terminator like powers of google to find them ROFL.

Yeah, but most of those "mass" killings were NHI shit. Seems to be some branching out that is much more problematic for society.

no doubt about that. but a lot of the crime that is down is the felon on felon kind. good, but not as much of a benefit to society. with current trends and attitudes, you could theoretically see a crime rate higher than today but lower than the 80s, but with a much worse mix of outcomes for your average Joe on the streets.

It actually follows normal population stats (except it is almost always male and white people are actually under represented slightly--small sample size)

If you go to homicides, one group commits a disproportionate amount of that crime

From those notorious KKK members the FBI and Census Bureau.

Depends on how you define a "mass shooting" and a "mass shooter." If you add in the single qualifier (like is done in the MSM) that in order to be reported as a mass shooting the shooter must be a white male, then the statistics change dramatically... :cautious:

Or just lie with statistics. The majority of mass shooters are white. Problem is in this country, the majority of people are white. But of course, the value fits the narrative. (think if Nike made 1,000,000 pairs of shoes, 1/2 were red, 1/4 were black, and 1/4 were white and sold them all--they could conclude that red shoes were twice as popular as black and white shoes--except they PRODUCED TWICE AS MANY. Same thing)

Of course pointing out the majority of violent criminals are black is of course 'systematic racism'

No, but I can imagine what would have happened if those non Irish would have pulled that sixty, seventy years ago.
They would have been putting their lives at risk just being on 6th.
