I have a Mac A-4, (USMC RETURN HAHAAHAHAHAHAAHA), that I use on my work gun and I like it very much. However it HAS been around the block a bit and regardless of how hard I crank the tension screws down, they give way sometimes when the shot breaks.

I pulled the cp out and noticed the aluminum post that is stipled for the tension screws is worn quite a bit. Is there a better system or a mod to do to make it lock better or do I send it Mac.

I've seen operational M40A3's with big pads taped on instead. I don't want to go that route if I don't have to. Just looking to see what the options are. Thanks for any responses. Jeff.

what you can do is get 2 plug/set screws and thread them into the other side and tighten them down. that way it will have 4 points of contact. i think the size was 10-32 X 3/4 inch long
