Thinking about a new stock for a FN SPR 24", I kind of like the McHale, two things, anyone have experience with the McHale ?
and....

I'm confused by the discription on McMillans website, it states "It is not recommended for Remington-Winchester type actions." but lists the Winchester / FN SPR actions on the fits the following action list.

I have a rem 700 that I made a single shot and put that stock on and it's very comfortable. My only complaint is an adjustable cheek peice would be nice. I take that rifle prairie dog hunting and lay prone for a while and had to build it up.

Re: McMillan McHale for FN-SPR

Its a great stock. The McMillan M86 I was issued had one. I built a rifle with a Stiller Tac 30 action. The Stiller has a Remington 700 foot print. They advise against using Winchester and Remingtons with floorplates as the bottom of the stock is flat. A slight taper works better for a floorplate, they suggest a blind magazine or single shot. That being said I had mine inletted for a standard 700BDL and don't have any problems. I like how the stock feel. It has a nice verticle grip. The barreled action sits low in the stock. Its very stable from the prone or bench and isn't too bad from other positions such as off hand or kneeling. I think its a great stock.
