McMillan overall length question

Can anyone tell me the overall length of a McMillan A3 with a 20" barreled action in it? I have an A3 on order and my 700 XCR Compact Tactical will be going in it. I'd like to find out the smallest interior dimensions I can get away with (length in particular) for buying a case.

The OAL is going to vary if you are getting the Spacer System LOP (Length-Of-Pull), but with a 20" barrel you are looking at around 40.5" OAL. I had a 24" barrel FN A3G with an OAL of 44.5", and my 22" barrel Tac Ops X-Ray 51 has an OAL of 42.5" in an A5 stock. Both rifles have the Spacer System LOP.

If I were you I would "budget" 41.0" for the rifle, then add 4" so you'll have 2" on either end of the rifle and you should be golden.

Thanks Keith! I did go with the spacer system although I doubt I will use all the sections in it (I'm not a huge guy). Your 41" estimation is just what I was looking for, thanks again.
