Just saw a film on Amazon that I hadn't heard of, even though it was made back in 2010. The film is Memorial Day, starring James Cromwell as a WWII vet who has kept his war stories to himself until his 13 year old grandson gets him to open up. They cast Cromwell's son John to play him in the flashbacks.
