Re: meopta scopes the real truth?

my hunting partner has a 6x50 meopta on his browning 22lr t-bolt (newer model), and it is a fantastic piece of kit. well made, clear glass, id say equal in all aspects to vx-3 leupolds and same again in my opinion to his pentax 3-10x50

id have no problem putting one on one of my rifles.

my late grandpa was czech, and i know id probably get one just because of that. but thats me...;)

cheers, jimi

Re: meopta scopes the real truth?

Have been using the Meopta 1-4X with K-dot on an AR in 3 gun for 3 to 4 years. Clear, easy to use, fast and true 1X. For matches that don't get past 400 yd. it is hard to beat. Also taken a bunch of coyotes with this scope/rifle setup.

Re: meopta scopes the real truth?

I've used the MEOPTA 4-16 on my LTR a few years back. The glass is superb. I got rid of mine because I couldn't get the above model with side parallax adjustment and target/tactical knobs at the time. The scope tracked very well and was repeatable and always held it's zero.

Re: meopta scopes the real truth?

Like Bronco, I also have a K-dot. Never had problems with tracking or holding zero, although I don't spin the turrets on that one much at all. The glass is incredible--IMO it's brighter and more contrasty than my SIII, VXIII, and NF NXS.

I would have been interested in the R1 4-16x44 if it had more elevation adjustment. 42 MOA is not enough.

Re: meopta scopes the real truth?

Meopta glass is top notch. They actually provide all the lenses to Zeiss for the Zeiss Conquest line of scopes. And naturally they make their glass slightly better.
