Not surprised in the least at this. Those guys are all prima donnas as it is. Three of your top players, regardless of nationality, skipping out on a team visit to Walter Reed is a gross embarrassment to the team and MLB alike, and I would like to know what the team is doing about it. Fine them, suspend them, whatever, but hurt them somehow and take the money you took from them and donate it to one of the many wounded veteran foundations. Isn't like they're going to make the post season this year, so they might as well enforce some discipline into their team.
Just don't patronize the wounded vets by doing a makeup visit for the sake of PR. That would be a spit in the face.

I like the sound of the boycott though, I really do.
Though I'm leaning more towards the "industry" than the "team". It should be a case of kids lining up to get soldiers autographs, more than ball-throwers. Let alone the wages.

I to like the boycott, am all for it. But if you really want to hurt a man empty his wallet, then leave him with 2 nickles he can rub together and remember what he use have. Bag call all the way around. The Vets deserve better then that. mm

Is anyone really surprised at a stunt like this? This is just the latest reason in a long list of reasons over the years why I'll throw a huge party if the NFL, NBA, MLB is ever disbanded due to the general public finally getting tired of the crap that constantly comes from these organizations.

I'm pretty sure that wounded soldiers don't want to be around dudes that don't truly want to be around them.
Those guys at Walter Reed aren't stupid. They have met enough people that they can tell who is there because they care and who is there because of PR.
I'm glad the 3 amigos skipped out. No reason they should have the privilege of meeting such wonderful Americans.
