My point was more that the "she made six figures" was intentionally ambiguous and probably used in the original article to inflate her success and thus our perception of her as readers. 6-figures is a hell of a spread between 100,000$ and 999,999$ and pretty much from experience anyone who says they make "six figures" is likely closer to that 100k end. To anyone that does banking/M&A/trading/quant shit "six-figures" is an absolute "well no duh." Folks making 3 or 400k a year are going to more or less say it, or not say anything at all.
Hell, even the Systems guys at high-end hedge funds and prop trading firms can pull 500k/yr.
