i felt i had to post this...i had off work today and after running some errands i dropped into the local hair cuttery to get my usual high and tight. there was a gentleman, whos name i didnt even catch, sitting by me. so anyway, i get called back to get my "do". the lady that did my cut is always in there and so ive gotten to know her well. we talked about the holidays and about her son, whom is interested in enlisting when hes of age. after my cut was done i walked up to the counter and threw my U.S.M.C hoody back on. just then that gentleman i was sitting near popped up and stopped the lady from ringing me up. he said he was paying for my cut. i asked if he was sure and he said "absolutley, its because of guys like you i can enjoy christmas here at home every year with my family." so i shook his hand and wished him a merry christmas. i must've thanked him 12 times. i just thought that was really cool. i know others on here have had the same treatment, but this just took me back. so, to all of my brothers in my beloved corps and all others past present and future in any branch, merry christmas and thank you.
