Rifle Scopes Mill

Re: Mill

2 * pi radians = 360 degrees
1 radian = 360degrees/2*pi
1/1000 radian = 360degrees/2*pi*1000
Now, 360 degrees is the circumference of a circle so substitute 2*pi*r for 360 degrees. Note that 1mill = 1/1000th radian
1/1000 radian = 2*pi*r/2*pi*1000
The 2*pi's cancel and we are left with
1/1000th radian = r/1000 for any r.
So one milliradian is 1 in 1000.
1 meter in 1000 meters
10cm in 100 meters
1" in 1000"
3.6" in 1000 yards (which is 3600")
and so on

The general formula is for ranging is:
target size/# of mils = target distance/1000

I like how after you posted this he deleted his worst posts. Classy. Hopefully the admin can still see them. I was hoping to read something that taught me something new about mil use. Instead I have to read this guys ridiculousness.

Re: Mill

1 mill is 10cm at 100m , 0.1 mill is 1cm at 100m ,1 mill at 1000m is 100cm
1 mill at 100yds is3.6" , 0.1 mill at 100yds is 0.36"

1 mill = 3.438 moa

it dose not really mater what a mill is you will start to think of it in mill after a wile

sniper2ndrep don't think what you said was called for , if you know so much about it why no help your fellow shooter out?
