Min/Max charge Varget and Sierra 110gr .308

Re: Min/Max charge Varget and Sierra 110gr .308

Check Here for sierras load map, vargets not included though. So go Here for Hodgdons still safe but much less conservative recommendations that includes varget. Finally go Here & scroll to the bottom to see some loads that other people are using. Always work up... all firearms are different... etc. you know the drill

Hodgdon lists 48 as a starter and 50C as the max for the 110 Barnes. Looks like a good place to start.

I need to know starting and max charge as well as COAL. Shooting paper @ 100.

Thanks </div></div>

I can run a Quickload scenario for you but will need your barrel length. Also, I'd stick with the COAL that is published by Sierra (check out their online site or any reloading manual) until you've figured out the max load to length to impact the lands on your rifle. Also, is this the Sierra 2100, 2105, or 2110 bullet (they have 3 110 grain bullets, check on box for part number)?

48.5 gr. works very well with the 110 VMAX.

I would follow Sierra's recommendation of 2.600" COAL, which only leaves about 0.200" of bullet shank in the neck.
