I was under the impression that I could adjust my scope according to my poa and poi using my reticle on my ffp scope. Is this only true with mill scopes? I ask because I was shootin600 and was 2 moa left and two moa low according to my reticle, so I wdot two up and two right. Now I was two high and two right. So I went one down and one left, bullseye on the next shot. Is something wrong with my scope or is it me?

Re: moa/moa

What scope are you using? How many shots did you shoot before making an adjustment? Also make sure your scope is MOA/MOA and not a Mil Reticle with MOA adjustments.

If you have a decent quality ffp scope you should be able to adjust using measurments from your reticle to adjust your scope. Also verify you are reading the subtensions on your scope properly most scopes come with a card that tells you the measurements in your reticle. Just get us a little more info to go on as far as your scope model and everything.

Re: moa/moa

If you have mil/mil you can use your reticle for adjustments and the same with moa/moa but they have to match. I would have tried to shoot it again to see if you could of jerked the trigger, by jerking the trigger will cause you to pull to the right. I would try a box test with your scope to make sure it is tracking right.

Re: moa/moa

I will do that. I don't think I did jerk it cause like I said I went half the distance and the remaining shots were dead on. I will take it back out and try that again. I will also read up and make sure I am also using my reticle correctly and will also do a box test. I will keep you guys updated

If it fails the test then back to Vortex it goes. You can do the test by using your reticle and move it right five, left, up and down and then measure. Or, put in boxes that are correct measurements and then use your reticle to shoot the boxes.
