Ballistic apps or ballistic rangefinder like the gunwekrs g7? I’ve been looking into each trying to see the pros and cons with each. Main use now will be whitetail hunting and target/ steel shooting but I’d like to get into prs and lrs competitions in the future.

You can try apps for free and use them for truing and viewing your information in an intuitive platform. A ballistic rangefinder is great but probably not going to teach you much - its a great crutch and will short circuit the need for learning.

Yeah I like the idea of apps for sure but I’d like to figure out everything on paper incase of a failure I’d at least have a plan b. The g7 seemed nice once you had an overall knowledge but I’d be great if windage was able to be calculated or input.
