On Animal Planet, this is a show detailing what happens to people when they are invaded by parasites. This show is not for the faint of heart, as there are people detailing, at times, what it was like to shat out a parasitic worm.
What makes this show alarming is how long the people go without treatment. So far, the people chronicled are living in the U.S. and most, but not all, have foreign travel experience. They experience symptoms for months before they go to the doctor. I can't help but wonder what parasites are being deposited all over the place here in the U.S. prior to the victim being properly treated.
Don't watch prior to eating dinner or before a date with the girlfriend, wife, mistress, or escort service.
The worst episode that I've seen so far was this guy who crapped out a parasitic worm, then showed his wife the worm in the palm of his hand, who naturally freaked.
Still, the tapeworm that I had upon returning from Africa is the record. No one on this show has come home with a cool 12 foot long tapeworm, and that makes me think my tapeworm was a true badass. I'm glad I fed him well.
Enjoy the show with the above caveats, and I think you'll enjoy it.
