Re: Mossin Nagant
Id say scope depends about rifle, and what You are going to do with it. Repro PU -scope is one possibility.
If You have mint one with good barrel, and you are going to feed it with proper ammunition, install rail on top of reciever for modern scope rings and install some 3-12 scope on it.
What!!?! Not any Finn SKY M28-30 in your wall?
Just kiddin- nice collection You have there.
M28-30, M39:s predecessor is the very best Mosin in my opinion. It has all the M39 features already- but tighter .308 competition grade Tikka barrels.
As it was in practice civil guards competition rife before winterwar against soviets. And yes, I have one.
Lapua 185grain D46 was M28-30:s original bullet, sights are spot on with it. M39 was made for Lapua 200grain D166. Both bullets are still in production.

The 39's are on the left end.

It depends...not all Mosins are same...
Try good condition original M39 with D166 bullet.
They are typically solid 0.75-1.25MOA rifles. And yes, I have tried several.
