Re: Most Accurate Factory .300 Win Mag ---- Lefty?
I too see your problem in verbiage... 300 win mag maybe the issue.
Do you only want a factory rifle or do you want to start factory then add some mods????
How far do you plan on shooting when prone messing about and how far do you plan on shooting for hunting game??
Big difference, you don’t want to shoot at a deer @ 500yds and hit it in the ass because that may happen…
Do you plan on reloading or running manufactured ammo? This has a lot to do with the accuracy you expect from your purchase as well.
So a factory Remington 300 win mag @ $700 and Savage 116 @ $475 and a Browning A-Bolt 300wsm @ $600
Remington Only makes it in the 700 SPS. Either way you skin it, you have to start somewhere.
What scope you plan on using or buying???
Remington leftys came down in price but if you want strictly out of the box rifle, then Savage has always blown away Remington’s right out of the box...
Savage guarantees 1.5” group or better at 100yds with magnums, Remington won’t give you one, but says standard avg groups for industry…
Bunch of Jerkoffs, so I pushed a little and they said around 3.0”… you could do that with a rock..
If you plan on buying a hunting rifle and hunting large game but some LR fun, you won’t need a $2000+++ custom rig with a $1800 night force on it to kill a deer or an elk at 400yds…
Just rememeber a factory rifle wont be hiting 10” plates at 1500yds all day either…. It’s a tool, many tools out there to do the job your after….
Remember the 30-30 or the 30-06, hell a .243 has killed more deer or elk then all other rifles combined….(not in that order)
Food for thought, you don’t need a magnum to drop either one of them… Bullet placement my friend, that always wins…
Best of luck to ya….
