Most reliable tactical match rifles and actions!

Re: Most reliable tactical match rifles and actions!

Never had any trouble with my GA Precision rifles with either a Rem 700 action or the Templar.

Defiance Machine aka: GAP Templar, LA Precision, Short Action Customs, Black Ops Tech. etc.

Surgeon 591

Trued Remington 700

The Defiance Machine receivers are available with the Mini M-16 extractor which I find to be far superior to the issued Rem 700 extractor.

I love Win70s and FN SPRs (same thing) for their CRF, but I don't think it really makes a lick of difference. My Savage has been 100% reliable.

In cold conditions, leave your rifle in the truck so it stays cold. If you keep it in the hotel, it'll sweat once outside, then freeze up. I never even thought if this, but heard this very issue fucked a bunch of competitors at the Winter 2011 mammoth challenge, where it was 5-10°F outside.

My AI had no issue with this. I kept it in my room. It was a cold son of a bitch, 6 degrees, to be exact, with a stupid low wind chill.

It has been through freezing rain, snow, Oklahoma talcum dust, Texas sand, mud, grit, smacking off concrete, dropped, kicked and generally beat to hell.

I rarely clean it and run it dry.

It has always worked when i asked it to. It is the only rifle that I have personally owned that I can say that about.

hands down rem 700 action, you can pay lots for others and usually you get what you pay for, put a little $$ in a stock remmy action you have it, hell out of the box its extremely reliable. thats my .02$

I routinely shoot in single digit conditions with my AI, sometimes with blowing snow, and I have never had a malfunction of any type. I take it from the house to where I shoot, I don't leave it outside over night.

I have seen lots of examples to the contrary.

I'd agree, they would be the pick of factory actions from what I've seen.
