I was in the pits at Baylands Raceway one year and watched this car go through the lights at 190, crossed up, front tires in the air and boiling the rear tires. The guys that drove these cars carried their stones around in wheel barrows.
Lunch and dinner would be whatever can I opened!
God Bless all of those soldiers that had to experience that Hell on earth.

Years ago I had an older Pilipino man (Victor) working for me. He was there when the Japs occupied the Philippines and he told some horrendous stories about what the Japs did to them. He told me when the Americans liberated them he was a teenager and he and his friends ran around like a pack of hyenas with hammers and killed every Jap they could find. He said they even took Jap soldiers away from Americans who were escorting them to prisoner of war camps. Vic told me not a single American did anything to stop them. I asked him one time how many Japs he thought they killed, he said "Not enough."
