Designed and constructed with nothing but slide rules, graph paper, no.2 pencil, lots of elbow grease, and martial arts-like concentration and attention to precise detail. Today, students have to turn to ChatGPT for answers to anything and everything. There are exasperated teachers out there threatening to fail any student who even mentions using ChatGPT as part of the curriculum LOL...
In a parallel universe, when a different side won WWII and marxism was unapologetically smashed, supersonic travel was the norm, not the exception. LOL

Let's just say there was about 1000 years of tension building in Poland between two cultures which led to a rather large event, and the version of history we were taught here in America doesn't exactly match up with what I'm seeing/hearing from people who's families actually experienced things.

Definitely very interesting.

I'm pretty sure they sell them in the middle of Warsaw too (it's been a few years but I used to spend about a week every 3 months there for work). My favorite country to visit, by far. Looked for a picture from the souvenir shops in Old Town Warsaw by Mermaid Square, but couldn't find one...

Father’s friend was a pilot of the concord. Flight path in early 80’s was actually over my house (Long Island NY). They’d be high/ climbing but we’d still hear a small boom as kids outside.

Grew up in Lindenhurst I remember watching it go over. We lived at the end of the runway for Republic Airport. seen a lot of A10's take off from there.

A few weeks ago one of our trains came around a corner and brushed against a Subaru that had jumped off a ramp and splatted against another bridge abutment on the other side of the tracks. Boi racer decided to test his cars limits like above and got fast enough to jump/tumble fast and hard enough to splat the car, wheels first, against the support wall of another on-ramp. Once it came to an abrupt stop, killing driver in the process, it slid down the wall and rested on the drivers side. It sat like this for a few hours until the train operator scraped by it on a run
