I actually did this for my kitchen sink disposal. The old one lasted for about 8 years but froze up. I was able to replace it with the exact same model so it was, simply, a matter of uninstalling the old one and re-installing the new one in the same space under the sink.

It worked! 🤠

Wife wanted new countertops and the sink wound up moved in about 1/2” forward.

I’ve replaced a few disposals over the years. Always a simple R&R.

Last time I called a “professional,” he quoted $875 to plumb a new sink and disposal. Thanked him for his time, went to Lowes and had it done in about 90 minutes and less than $30 in parts.

After he left, the wife told me he said wasn’t sure he could even do it.

Got an email requesting a review. Bet they wish I had not.

I was doing some work at a house, while I was there the guy had called a plumber to come in and quote repair, a small drip at a 90. It wound up being right next to where I was working and I overheard the conversation. The plumber said blah, blah, blah, two shark bites blah, blah blah. The plumber said let me go out and see if I have everything. I got my customer and said hey I can fix that for $10 in parts. Customer told plumber he would think about it, plumber left. I cut either side of the 90 and then installed a 90 shark bite and done in about 5 minutes. I didn't charge the customer anything and finished what I was there for.

PS: just to be fair I was already making a killing on what I was doing...........................
