As long as the Timber Rattler stayed in the woods behind my house (in the WCE), I'm fine. I wouldn't want to encounter it when mowing my lawn, is all. OTOH, if it was a cottonmouth, it would be meeting its maker. Sorry, but all cottonmouths have got to go.

(WCE = Wetlands Conservation Easment).
Killed a 3' cottonmouth Friday. Almost stepped on it trying to get the ZTR on a trailer. First I had seen on my property in the 7+ years I have had it, several copperheads, no rattlers. Poisonous snakes and hogs don't get a pass. Raccoons are about to be on the list. They are so fat they are braking the limbs on my pear trees and have stripped the trees 2 years in a row.
