I would imagine there’s plenty of that too, considering specials I seen and read on the subject. But to contributing it to a single issue is the same thing as using 1 in 4 as click bait in a title. Makes for lots of traffic, but doesn’t bother with facts.

You are interpreting the meme incorrectly. The 25% number is saying, 25% of the women will experience rape in their lifetime. The 5.6% is an annual number.

In the US the number of actual rape victims vs. the number of claimed victims is difficult to calculate because the feminist movement glorifies rape victims, There is a huge number of women that claim to have been raped that were not, just so they can claim the victim status. I guess that is the feminist version of stolen valor, which is horrible because actually being raped is one of the worst things that can happen to a person.

Otherwise, the number of sexual crimes in 2019 would not have been 23,200. It would have been 452,000.
