I had a total knee replacement last month which can be VERY painful for days afterwards. I was sent home with 20 5mg Oxycodone tablets ….period !! 😳
They didn’t even begin to dull the pain , much less give any relief. I asked the surgeons nurse why they lowball patients with pain meds when they know you’ll be hurting ??
Got the standard “ opioid crises” excuse. … I get it , but I’m 71 years old and never abuse drugs. Why the fuck do they even make them ??
Guess the drug reps aren’t greasing the doctors palms enough anymore ?

Gave me 48 after spine surgery. No idea what it was. Called a pharmacist friend and he told me it was an addictive opioid. Flushed them down the toilet.

I’m not in to medicine in general …pain medicine in particular. That said , I wished I was given the option of taking anything stronger or not.
When they told me that ibuprofen would take care of the pain , it reminded me of a old saying “ don’t piss down my neck and tell me it’s raining”
Doctors are scared shitless to prescribe anything anymore..,.don’t want to get on the DEA’s shit list.

Shits bad, had a guy I know get surgery and end up in rehab because the meds they gave him.

Last I heard he was a year plus sober.

FUCK THAT SHIT! The VA had to pay a real surgeon to fix what one of their surgeons had fucked up and when I woke up post surgery I refused to take any of the pain pills that the nurses tried to give me. It got to the point that the nurses told the surgeon and he came to my room to ask me why I wouldn’t take any pain pills and I gave him my unfiltered opinion of opioids and said that the pain was preferable to getting addicted to that shit.

Some of you freaks pay extra for this kind of service

There was this hillbilly who had never been laid. His buddies took him to the local brothel to get him laid. They paid the madam and the madam told him top of the stairs first door on the right. Hillbilly goes up the stairs knocks on the door a voice hollars come in there's this woman laying naked on the bed about 450 lb she says what'll it be straight sex around the world or 69. The hillbilly replies excuse me ma'am. She says what'll it be around the world straight sex or 69. The hillbilly says I'm sorry ma'am but this being my first time and all I don't quite rightly know what those things mean but I guess I'll take that last thing that 69 thing. He strips down and they're going at it all of a sudden she let's out a big old fart. The hillbilly pulls his head back shaking it before diving in once again. The lady rips off another big fart. The hillbilly proceeds to get up and get his clothes on and leave. The lady says hey where are you going. Hillbilly replies I'm sorry ma'am I'd be the last one in the world to complain but I don't think I can take 67 more of them.

Full dose of Tylenol with a full dose of advil is the strongest non opioid pain killer available. That combo kept me out of surgery for an extra year and got me on my feet when I couldn’t walk otherwise.
