The rifle: If the basic stock AR-15 is comparable to the modern day infantry rifled musket and the plainsman's all purpose percussion lock halfstock rifle, the SPR would be comparable to the .451 cal. Volunteer rifle or the Sharps 1859 target sighted breechloader. Just a few changes here and there to turn an existing platform into something that can be used everywhere plus extreme long range...
