Need some advice for a mount/rings. Scope is a USO ST-10 AO, and it's going on a Rem 700 Milspec 5R 308.

Since this is my first bolt action build, just wondering what would be a good combination.

Thanks!

I have a similar build and use 30mm A.R.M.S. #22 medium height rings on a 50 mm objective size scope. The bases were not necessary - my action is a Surgeon with an integral picatinny rail. I'm sure any reputable scope base brand would do - LaRue, Badger, Nightforce, etc.

Dude the search function is your friend. This topic has been hammered flat, that being said, you cant go wrong with Badger Ordnance, Seekins, Near, or Nightforce. They all make amazing, top notch products, it just depends on your budget and intended use.

Didn't ask because I'm too lazy to search. Been reading for a couple of days now. Just wondering what folks with some experience with Rem 700s would suggest on a similar setup.

I don't want to end up buying components that don't fit together properly. Been there. Nothing like having to mill down the clamps on a set of new Mark 4 rings, because they're so long they bottom out on your mount.

In that case man, just get a set of Badger Ordnance 20 moa steel base and rings and call it a day, there expensive, but they are also practically flawless, and it sounds like you have already learned the "cry once, buy once" lesson first hand.
