Alright. Long story short, Millett warranted an older scope I had and I wound up with a new LRS. I plan on putting it on my Serbu BFG. I'm no gunsmith or expert marksman by any stretch. However I have a pretty ok mechanical background compared to the average guy.... I think I want to mount this scope myself. I have an inch lb torque wrench, bubble levels for precision machining, and a level workbench. Millett recommends using locktite on their screws. So I think I will based on their warranty requirements as well as their torque specs using their 35mm supplied rings. My question is do you guys recommend putting contact cement, silicone, etc coating in the rings as an anti slip? My wife measure my eye relief to the scope from my scope smacker. She was reading 3"-3 1/4". I hope that's enough! Millett says about 3.5". Am I leaving out anything obvious? Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback.

Ok. Range report. I've mounted the Millett using their supplied mounts. It's way too high. It's a chin weld on the BFG. Any idea if low mounts will clear? They don't provide a measurement on their site that I could find. It's nice for the money. It's no NF! I get that. But for a fun toy, it seems ok. Little hazy at 600 yards. Anyway... It held up to 100 rounds of 50 so far. Just can't decide between low and medium. There's not an easy way to build up the cheek weld on that tube. Thoughts on ring height?
