I recently had to remount my scope on my GAP. When I first mounted the rings/bases (Seekins) I lapped the rings. I think I remounted it correctly but how concerned should I be about binding the scope tube?

I wouldn't be too worried. I do it alot with one of my scopes and no problems. I mark the notch in the rail the front ring goes in with a sharpie and properly toque the rings back on.
