Anyone try the MPA short length of pull plate kit and shortened recoil pad? My comp chassis is perfect for me in almost every way except the LOP is a little too long. Maybe I have t-Rex arms...who knew.

Seems like a cheaper ($50) bet than replacing the whole stock for a shorty ($200-ish). Input is appreciated!

The lop is advertised at 13.5" but measuring my mpa matrix to the actual trigger I'm closer to 14" with the stock in its shortest setting. To get proper LOP, put the butt pad in the pit of your 90° bent elbow and attempt to put your trigger finger on the blade at 90° angle. If the fit is a lil tight in the elbow pit to get that proper finger positioned it's generally okay. But if you need to sacrifice the 90° trigger control to get there, you need to shorten the LOP. I was able to work with mine as I can get 90° but the pad is snug inside my elbow. Honestly the minimum lop on any chassis should be 13" as I've found too short lop is far better than too long in positional stuff.
This is simply a "go by" and would give you an idea. Using this method I'm at 14" on the dot. I prefer to shoot a 13-13.25" LOP. It seems more common for people that shoot various positions to lean more towards the shorter LOP from what I have witnessed.

OP, my wife has the shorter butt assembly and she hasn't complained about it, so I'm assuming all is well.

The short LOP plates on MPAs work great. Same tight no-rattle fit with the but stock screws pinching the plate posts.
Mine are flush with the buttstock, so not sure how they would hold up if extended, but you could always rig some spacers.
Lately, the best LOP reduction fix to my MPA was to switch to an XLR hahahaha. I'm somewhere @ 12.75"--13.0". MPA ships long.
