My friend has a MPA Competition with the shouldered barrel and Axiom action. I have the same rifle but with the factory WTO switchlug.
His barrel is shot out and mine will be soon. Our smith doesn't do pre-fits and wants an action in hand. Whats the difference between the Axiom/WTO lug and the standard MPA/Axiom? I would like to have the smith make 2 barrels off his action if the lugs are the same thickness. I am assuming I can just treat the WTO like a regular lug. Though it would be nice if he can use the shouldered action to do whatever bevel or whatever the WTO needs for the locking mechanism.
