I ended up biting the bullet and placing the order for the mrgg because I figured once they sell out it might be another year before they are in stock. I'll report back when it arrives. Too many high end gun purchases lately!

Will do. I will say their chromed lined barrels in other lines are hammers so I’d assume the same for these if not more so.Please post some groups, some thoughts, a full report once you receive and get some trigger time. You're right, at least with Geiselle. They seem to make very accurate barrels. I like their HBAR, especially after your review.I wouldn't concern myself about their Crome lined barrels not being accurate.

I got a little spoiled with premium cut rifled Bartlein barrels, but it looks like G is approaching that level of performance while maintaining the durability of CHF chrome.
That is exactly what I was referring to. Not too many AR15 chrome lined barrels are capable of that level of precision. Everyone thinks they have one that is, until they shoot a 10-round group. Geissele chrome HBAR is legitI picked up a 14.5" Geissele HBAR CHF for under $300 bucks. While I've had several very good CHF barrels, the only one I have had that came close was in the HK MR223a3 Imports and the sub-$300 Geissele shot better. I'm impressed. I've not been a G$ fan but they've got me paying more attention now.
a quick array of a bunch of flavors including a lovely 0.65MOA 10-round group of IMI in the middle.
That's Fed GMM 69gr in the top left with a 0.9ish MOA 10-round group
Fed GMM 73gr Berger 5-round group top center.

Glad I’m not the only one on the bolt release. I can’t for the life of me push it down with just my finger.I was able to swing by and pick my 20" 6.5 up earlier today and took her straight to the range (after cleaning the barrel that was filthy). I'll have a full review video at some point but here are the things I noticed tonight.
1. Build quality is top notch and the rifle feels very solid. Probably the lightest recoiling 6.5 gas gun I have fired so very impressed with this
2. the right hand bolt release is impossible to depress using my trigger finger.... not sure if there is a break-in process but for me it's unusable. This would be a negative compared to my SR25s
3. The upper and lower fit is tight thanks to a tension pin in the lower. The negative here is you cannot just push the rear takedown pin in/ out. I had to use a hammer/ punch to get my upper apart and back together
4. I shot a handful of 5 round, 100yd groups that were mediocre. These were the first rounds through the barrel and conditions on the range tonight were miserable.... tons of wind blowing sand in my eyes. I expect in time to be able to tighten these up.... especially once I find the load it really likes. For what it's worth, that 144 smk load is consistently .75 Moa in my 22" SR25
5. It dents case mouths as shown in the picture
6. Noticed the chamber in the MRGG is a bit tighter than my SR25. Sr25 fired cases measure 1.550" where the MRGG measures 1.547" using the same hornady gauge. Not that this really matters but I did notice it when measuring brass.
Suppressor was a fletcher rifle works Texas flood with the vented end cap so very low back pressure. Scope is an element nexus 4-25.
No but fwiw, your comparing taper profile to hbar. Still no but probably have a surplus they’d like to move if I had to speculate.Does it really cost 75% more to make a mid length gas barrel?

I don't work there but probably has more to do with production/demand. No body wants Carbine gas systems in 16".Does it really cost 75% more to make a mid length gas barrel?

Definitely makes you wonder once the supply surpasses. Primary Arms 40% off lolBINGO.
Even though some here have argued about what is considered "over-gassed" or "properly gassed" systems, I'm pretty sure we all agree that despite port size, there's really no reason to go shorter than middy in 16".
And this is my problem with firms like Geissele and Vortex where they debut some cool stuff at idiotic prices and then one has to inevitably wait to pay normal prices. Case in point: 6mm ARC prices...despite the supply, they aren't $110 or $120 or whatever the fuck.
I don't think I've ever thought Geissele has produced bad stuff (well, the optics thing was kinda stupid) it seems one has to strike at the right time and I wonder if the same will be true of the MRGG eventually on pricing.
