MSNBC Poll - Do you think people should be allowed to carry guns in public?

The data so far is funny to me. And I use "data" very loosely. Given it being an MSNBC poll, I can imagine who the average poll taker is and how they were raised.

I don't reply to polls good bad or indifferent.
If I did MSLSD wouldn't be my first choice.
According to the polls Donald Trump had almost Zero chance of winning the election.
 
It's been saying 46% for carrying all day. Of course, being as it's MSNBC it's likely only a certain audience would even see the poll to begin with, as most of us serious gun folk tend to shy away from the lame-stream media for information.
 
what's the part about 'only for self defense?' maybe they're trying to divvy up 2a and SD to make the 'no' have a seemingly larger slice of the pie? why else would you carry, other than taking them to the range?
