Is "tampering with evidence" not a law on the fed level? I got thrown in YDC(Youth Detention Center) for tampering with evidence because my piss was too clear at a court drug test(was water loading at the time to make weight for wrestling). They tried to say it was water from the sink... if thats the case, then why did it perfectly match body temp(the drug tests have a temperature test strip), and if they were so confident in that being the case surely they wouldn't have a problem taking a big gulp of it?

I'm curious as to how the data was wiped. Was it a formatting where the data can be reconstituted or did they go through the process so that it's basically has no data other than an operating system.

Restored to factory default. Its not a hard drive in there so its not like they can pull the disks out and try to recover the data.
And its not even a matter of destruction of evidence. Even absent any sort of investigation of wrong doing, this is Government owned data and its a violation of law to destroy it.
They suck completely and the thing that bothers me is that Strzok and Page will no doubt get some high paying job from some rich liberal when they should be Walmart greeters and working in Mickey D's.
the feds seem able to get the phone companies to turn over all of that data on common criminals.
