Mutiny on the Black Pearl. Capt. Jack left on an island

Okay. You got me on this one. If it was determined that the men did not fire the shots and that they needed rescue, exactly why were the men charged at all? And no, don’t give me the tow-the-line answer either.

Public intoxication? If it was so public, why did nobody at all know they were there, much less in ‘public’?

I ask, because I’m trying to relate this to sanctioned ‘mob’ attacks in places like Seattle and Oregon. In those cases, there was vagrancy, incitement to violence, and actual violence in plenty public places.

How do these two events reconcile?

IF, there's an update on the story I will update.
My feeling is that one of the guys if not both are probably ex felons and restricted from firearms. So once the boys in blue showed up the shotgun got deep sixed. That's my guess.

At any given time it is basically against the law to consume oxygen.

Were the homes more then 100 yards away? If so then there was no real danger. Also after, 100 yards the average person can't tell shit of which direction a loud noise came from.

I know.

In a way, I was wondering out loud, just how we got to this point. Again, being rhetorical.

Why did they go to Jail? Seriously. That's pretty fucking lame, and probably lazy road/water work. Find a responsible adult and turn'm over. Or, find a responsible adult and cite and release. Or, give'm a courtesy ride for krist sake. If cited, yes, eventually they'll probably end up in the gulag for their 'mandatory' 1 day commitment and prints and photo op, but let's toss'm in the klink right fucking now? Ok, I get it. You have any idea how many people serve more time than the mandatory minimum that they are eventually sentenced to while waiting to go to court for their 1st appearance? I do. And it ain't right.

I will guess the two men gave the PO PO a ration of shit talking. Since they were brought to a private boat dock and probably many miles from where they boarded the party boat the PO PO had enough. Either shut the Hell up and walk or you're getting arrested!!!! Two drunks that are pissed off about not getting a ride probably continued their verbal assault and ended up in cuffs. They were released at the county jail and I will guess the DA will make some plea deal. It's pretty common around here that the drunk and disorderly gets wiped out if no further problems in 12 months.
