Im just wondering whats the ideal clearance for the exit hole in a muzzle brake. I made a few and there working out excellent with about 1mm clearance, .5mm all around. Is this too much or too little. There made absolutely 100% thru so I dont feel the need to worry if there very small. The ones I fitted were also fitted to a dialed in barrel to make sure no contact was made by the exiting bullet.

i shoot for .020" over bullet diameter. you can do the metric conversion on that though
