New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Just got my Kreiger barrel and am in the market for a muzzle brake. What thread size is recommended for that caliber? 5/8 or 3/4? Or does it even matter? Planning on going with the Fat Bastard.
I don't have experience with the FB muzzle device, but I have fit and fired .338LMs with Badger Thrusters and FTEs, the FTE gets the edge on this type of magnum and the Thruster takes it on normal short action cartridges. 5/8" threads are not an issue.
Buddy of mine just got a 338 Edge. It came with an Answer brake. We both shot several rounds and couldn't believe how mild the recoil was with that brake.
I used the Badger Thruster and found it to be very effective. I got it with a 3/4x24 thread, specifically to be different from my others. Didn't want an HUA moment and screw on a .30 can!
