Muzzle Brake Tuning

I have a Tikka /Tac in 300WM. It has a TRG muzzle brake that screws on and is set with a pinch bolt. The manual says I can set it to reduce 'torque'. I have done this and think it has done that, however , other gun smiths and rifle builders pride themselves on having the brake perfectly indexed to the vertical center line. What are your opinions on this in reducing group size.

Aesthetically, perfectly timed is great. On my personal rifle, all I care is that it's close and not too tight...

I've never experienced a POI shift.

No, but I have the brake rotated approx. 15 degrees right of vertical.
