It seems like the prices have gone 1:1 from Markka to Euro, although it has been over 10 years I think. It's probably 2:1 in reality. That would be a 300% increase (1e ~ 6mk). Crazy!!!
Now there is a big administrative fee on firearm purchases too. I think it is 70e now when it was about 3e back then (IIRC).

Most of the family has moved to Oulu now but my grandparents are still in Kemi. His English is ok but my son is learning all 3 languages; English, Finnish and Spanish. A bit slower to learn them all but doing it any other way would be foolish. It also helps me to learn Spanish and my wife to learn Finnish.
