My BlackOps Precision 300WM hunting rifle

Finally got some time to post a picture of my new hunting rifle built by Mike Bush of BlackOps Precison Rifles.

Specs:

*Defiance Machine long action, heavy duty pinned recoil lug, spiral fluted bolt, 0 MOA rail, & side bolt release

*Krieger 5R stainless barrel = 1-10" twist, #5 contour, 25" finished length which includes a custom muzzle brake

*McMillan Rem Hunter stock = sniper fill weight, 13.5" LOP, 1/2" decelerator pad, custom desert camo paint by Manners Stocks

*Badger M4 steel bottom metal, Rem mag box, spring, & milled steel follower

*Timney trigger tuned to 2.5# (this model of trigger was made specifically to be installed on Defiance Machine actions)

*All metal cerakoted in matte graphite black

*NightForce NXS 3.5-15x50 scope with mil-dot reticle (HS turrets with Zero-Stop)

*Seekins 30mm low rings

*Custom load development by McCourt Munitions = Andrew McCourt is awesome to work with!! He developed a custom hunting load for me using Barnes 180 grain TTSX traveling at 3060 fps & grouping in the .3's & .4's at 100 yds.

Nice, love me some 300WM! How about a close up of the brake? Can you give us an idea of it's effectiveness? Thanks.

Here's a picture of the brake - its not the best picture but it'll give you an idea.

The brake works well - recoil is about same as a heavy .308 maybe even a little less.

Wow..very nice rig. Barnes TTSX 180 grain...my favorite hunting bullet for my 300 wm's....did you order all your parts and just send them in or was it BO that acquired your items and then built the rifle?

I really like the Defiance action, gonna haven't get me one soon. Your pics aren't helping me...lol

Hntelk,

I had the action, stock, and Badger M4 = Mike B. supplied the barrel, muzzle brake, trigger, mag box, spring & follower.

Defiance Actions are very nice - you won't regret purchasing one!!


The weight is in the 9.5# to 10.5# range - On my bathroom scale it weighed in around 9.5# but that scale is not that accurate.
