I got the bug to put something together to shoot a little farther than my typical rifles. Figured it would be a good setup to learn the ropes on.

.308 5r milspec 700
Leupold vx3i LRP 4.5-14
Badger rings
Area 419 brake
Geissele trigger

I was using the factory trigger and getting pretty good results. Excited to try it out with a trigger that actually feels good. I’m sure it will get tweaked some as I shoot more but for now I’m pretty pleased.

I’m a fan of the 5R Remingtons. I have a 20” and 24” .308 and they shoot well. If you shoot factory ammo, try 168gr amax.

I’ve got a bunch of Federal Gold Medal Match to shoot through and some Hornady TAP (which I think is close to the amax)
