My first Knight’s Armament!

I think it’s closer than pairing it with an LMT. I used to actually have an LMT, but it’s my uncle’s now. The SR-30 is just an SR-15 lower with an H2 buffer. I paired my SR-30 lower with a 14.5” SR-15 upper to make it a complete KAC rifle

It certainly is but now with the new cali laws it's nearly undesirable to buy a new lower with it's identification and needing to register as an "assault weapon."

A clone of what? It's already one of the best rifles made. And how is a SCAR17 better than one of the best precision AR's made? Nah, nevermind. Now the Mk20 I've heard people say it's on par with the SR25 and is capable of subMOA groups as is the SR25.

The 6.5CM is a good choice, I won't knock that.

KAC porn: SR25w/PVS30, QDC can and LR17 scope. It's a bad motherfucker and everyone I know that has one swears by it.

Clone of a mk11 or m110 or some other adopted sr25 like the k1s. Rangers were running these back in 90s when Eugene stoner helped KAC figure out the 25 platform. Cloners love that shit. Can't complain I still think the xm177e2 is the second best AR variant ever after the SR15.

The only thing the 17 gives up to the 25 is accuracy and that is debatable. It's lighter, more durable, more reliable, much better platform for mounting optics, much better for airborne and Vic ops, has a tunable gas system for running suppressed. I own both and an a KAC whore, but the 25 doesn't bring much to the table other than nostalgia. 10-15 years ago there is a better argument to be made.

Now factor in 6.5cm and the mk20 and it's not even close. 7.62 is already an obsolete cartridge, the sooner both platforms move to 6.5 ( scar will be rebarreled in 6.5cm shortly) the better.

1+ What Strykervet said.
I have done several stripped lowers to get them my way; here's one converted with Battle Arms ambidextrous safety.

anyone have a recommendation for a light optic to complement my SR-15? My truck gun is a 10.3 SBR that wears an ACOG, have another AR with a vortex 1-8 and several ARs with 1-10 optics on them.

Aimpoint t-1? Some lightweight dot? maybe a 1-4 USO?

Depends what you want to do with your SR-15. Identity doesn't dictate optics, purpose does. Could be anything from a T1/T2 or other RDS to a 5-25 and anything in between.

I'm really liking the eotech. It's my favorite 1-6 right now and the fasted reticle I have used to date. It's not nuke bright but daylight bright.

Really liking my mk6. It’s not as heavy as a razor, but still built like a tank. But the new enhanced razor definitely closed the gap

welp, after getting an Sr-15 mod 1 and shooting it with micro sights, i went ahead and bought another mod 1 that was cut to 14.5" and pinned on a KAC Mams NT-4 mount, which is the exact same mount i installed on my 16" SR-15, that replaced the Saker Trifecta Brake that came on it.

One KAC has mulitplied into two!!

My second will be an SR-25. I’m about half way there with the funds. I also need to add the MAMS.
