Ahhhh the gaurd is awesome. I sometimes shoot in bad whether (rain or snow) since it usually brings less wind so I can get out farther. Or if those are simply the only days I'm available. I can shoot any time. My Bushnell Banner didn't have one so I upgraded to the Elite. It was well worth it.

Don't let these guys jack with you. Run it the way you like it. As long as you are making hits, no one really cares what it looks like. I've seen some 'purdy guns' that can't shoot (or the nut behind the bolt) and I've seen some junkyard dogs that can ring consistent steel at distance.

Have to admit, though, the NASA comment was funny.....
