I shot a bunch of ragged one-hole groups last weekend with 139gr Lapua's and 42.5gr of H4350. Hope to get it out to 600yds this weekend. I have to get some better pics in good lighting, but for now enjoy....

Re: My new .260!

Great looking rifle.
I got my GAP in 6.5 creedmoor in Friday...................

Now waiting on another set of seekins rings..........the set I had here waiting are .050" to low.

The waiting is tough........

Re: My new .260!

I waiting on a call from Terry for the Sentinel stock for all most an identical build, less that it will be a 243. I hope mine comes out looking as nice as yours. That is a nice stick. The Sentinel stock is the best I have seen for the Badger action.

I lucked out, Terry had one in stock already inletted for the Badger. I received it in under a week!!! In fact, I got all of the parts for this build within two weeks and GA had the rifle built and back to me in two months on the dot. I am very happy with their work and turnaround time.

Tango, I am using prepped Rem brass.

Re: My new .260!

what are you getting for velocity with the 139's? I just want to compare it to my 6.5x47.

btw your rifle turned out great, its defiantley one to be proud of.

Re: My new .260!

Thanks, I was shooting 42.0gr and 42.7gr of IMR4350 with Rem brass lit up by a Fed 210M. The Shooting Crony said it was in the 2860, 2870 range. This is not the most accurate Crony but ballpark. Some of the brass with the 42.7gr load showed signs of pressure. I had 1 piece of brass that had a wicked ejector mark, the primer was cratered and it had some blow by gas around the primer and another 2 pieces with light ejector marks the other 47 were fine. It was also 90 degrees out.

The other load was 42.5gr of H4350 and it shot great no signs of excessive pressure but I did not have my crony with me. I am going to try to get some numbers this weekend.

Thanks, The black scope stuck out like a sore thumb. I was going to rattle can it but I have a harder time reselling them when they are painted.
