Ive been a glock fan forever (still am) but glock hasnt come out with a single stack pistol in .40. Since I didn't own a 1911 I decided to make my daily carry pistol a Springfield EMP in .40 S&W. Went to the local range (which I hate but had to take the EMP for a spin) and shot about 100 rounds in 10 mins of mixed FMJ and HP, all the rounds fed and fired flawlessly. I'll still have to give it a run for its money.

Now, its just the wait for the leather. I'm planning on a Pure Kustom black ops pro holster. Anyone have any experience with it?

Enjoy the pics.

Very nice piece. Love the 2-tone look on pistols, just seems like a classy look to me. I would love to get one of these someday. I've got a full size Loaded and a Champion "mil-spec" upgraded to near "Loaded" configuration. I wish i had the money for one for CCW. Nice pistol.

How does it shoot?

I only got to try it at 7 and 15 yards. At & it made one ragged hole, at 15 it put 10 rounds in a 2-3 inch group. Not bad for a 3 inch barrel

They did come from the factory that way, but I believe they are Miltac G10 grips.

Nope not really, its pretty manageable stacking double taps on top of each other. its pretty hefty at 33 ounces unloaded.

Very cool. The only thing better than the EMP's are the 45 Micro's

I switched my ambi safety for a single side, so the safety is protected and can't be bumped off. Just made me more comfortable with appendix carry.....

Nice! These are some nice little packin' pieces. Canyon Creek does some nice mods to these little Springfields: magwells, grip work, etc. Saw some of his work so if you ever want some custom work, and who doesn't :), you can check him out here Canyon Creek Custom

Re: My new carry piece "The Springfield EMP"

Mike, I like the look of your Springfield better, and I don't use the rail on mine, but the Off Duty is an all steel gun and I like the way it balances with the extra weight up front near the muzzle - it does not feel grip-heavy like so many of the sub-compacts that I don't like.
