Hello everybody, i know this ain't a MN, but it is russian. Does that count ???.
i finally got around to adding an SKS to my gun cabinet. Every time i went to get an sks, i always seemed to find something else i couldn't live with, like Mosins.........................
It's pretty nice, and clean as a whistle. Its got the Ram-line composite side folding stock, pistol grip & lower forearm grip. The scope is some thing designed for the sks. It's labeled model 29, China. Its on a b-square sks scope mount too.
I got it on a trade deal, so no $ outta pocket is nice. A guy at the gun shop said these have been projected to go as high as $1000, with the way mr peanuthead is running things for firearms.
I thought i would scoop this up, before i couldn't afford it anymore, price or trade value wise. However i am ol' skool, not tacticool. Eventually I'll replace the composite stuff & bipod, with a light wood stock, bayonet & swivel mount bipod on the forestock. The scope would be optional. I would like a stock with real sharp woodgrain patterns that stand out.
It does look nice in the cabinet, next to the other russian arms though !!!
